A total of 325 new students were admitted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) in the first phase of the national access competition (five more than the total number of available vacancies). The weighted average mark of the last admitted student remained the same as in 2016: 131.4 points.
The enrolment of 1st-year students started today
The enrolment period for new students will take place between 11 and 15 September 2017.
The second phase of the national competition for access to higher education will take place between 11 and 22 September 2017.
From September 18-20, the School has organized activities for the integration of 1st-year students under the topic “ESEnfC: A higher education institution for health promotion”.
The welcoming session will begin at 9.30 am on Monday at the António Arnaut Auditorium (Campus B, São Martinho do Bispo).
The President of the School, Maria da Conceição Bento, will congratulate the students and make a first presentation of the School. Then, the president of the Technical-Scientific Board (Ananda Maria Fernandes), the president of the Pedagogical Board (Rogério Rodrigues), the president of the Quality and Assessment Board (Manuela Frederico-Ferreira), the Student Ombudsman (Alberto Barata), the programme director (Alfredo Cruz Lourenço), the 1st-year coordinator (Clara Ventura), and the president of the Students Association (Inês Pereira) will also address the new ESEnfC students.
During three days of activities, students will get to know some services and support structures in the three campuses of the School (such as the Library and the clinical simulation laboratories) and even visit some of them (the Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing, the Differentiated Social Action Unit, the School and Occupational Health Unit, and the Center for Study and Promotion of Well-Being).
