Innovative, Equally Accessible Teaching Model For Infection Control: From Nursing Students to the General Population

Project Summary

The ICTM_Innovative project aims to develop a combined study module “Innovative, equally accessible teaching model (2 ECTS) for infection control: from nursing students to the general population”, consisting of a contact learning component, virtual and shared internationally. The principles of infection control will be implemented in all patients with viral infections and resistant microorganisms to prevent the spread of microorganisms.

In terms of activities, the Model involves the creation of a brunch and four practical simulations, e-learning materials and a workshop program, as well as tasks on the basics of infection control and an explanatory glossary in English, with the aim of promoting creative thinking, English language skills and improving students' self-efficacy in infection control.

In terms of results, a study module (e-module) on infection control will be developed which can be accessed at https://www.thinglink.com/card/1845467106427011749 https://www.thinglink.com/card/1845467106427011749 (2 ECTS). Its impact on knowledge will be assessed through two surveys before and after the application of the module. Participants come from the five countries that participate in the consortium. International cooperation allows the module to be used in all higher education institutions. The module will help improve the participants’ skill level, creative thinking, digital literacy, and self-efficacy in infection control. The module will be available on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform (EPALE), as well as on the partner organizations’ websites.
