The Nursing School of Coimbra is a founding member of the Higher Education Volunteering Network (R-VES), which was established on 18 October 2019, during the 1st International Symposium on Volunteering in Higher Education, organized by the Volunteering Group of the University of Algarve (UALG).
R-VES aims to promote coordination and articulation between higher education institutions (HEIs) for the sharing of good practices in research, intervention, and dissemination to encourage volunteering at the national and international level, contributing to the affirmation of Portugal as a leader in these areas.
The ESEnfC joining the Network is part of the School's strategic objective "To promote a democratic, inclusive, and health-promoting organizational and management culture," fostering greater student participation in social volunteering practices.
On that day, Marina Montezuma Vaquinhas, ESEnfC spokesperson for the Network, was appointed secretary of the R-VES General Assembly.
