This laboratory is aimed at the development of the reciprocal emotional relationship between father, mother, and child during, before, and after pregnancy. It has a major preventive value for both the babies, who are calmer and happier and have better psychomotor development, and the future mothers, who experience a happier and more comfortable pregnancy. They learn to avoid incorrect positions, to better endure the common discomforts related to the physiological changes of pregnancy, and become more confident. In this way, they are more relaxed during childbirth and more likely to have a natural childbirth, reducing their pain, suffering, distress, and need for medication. It increases the well-being of both the mother and the baby and the likelihood of mothers breastfeeding their infant.
