Summary of the Project
The Project FOCUS (Frailty Management Optimisation through EIP-AHA Commitments and Utilisation of Stakeholders Input) is co-funded by the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) of the European Commission, under the scope of the work developed by the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIPAHA).
FOCUS aims to critically reduce the burden of frailty in older adults in Europe by improving the processes of diagnosis, screening, and management of frailty, focusing on the prevention of this clinical condition and avoiding the need for interventions in advanced stages, often irreversible. This initiative aims to cover all the professionals in the field, from the planning of services and healthcare delivery to vulnerable citizens to their follow-up and treatment.
The FOCUS Consortium brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialists from 10 organizations in 6 European countries (Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom).
