External Advisory Committee

In accordance with the Judicial Regulation of Scientific Research Institutions (Decree Law no. 125/99) and the Regulation of the Pluriannual Funding of R&D Units, units must establish a permanent external scientific advisory committee (CEPAC), composed of idividuals whose merit has been acknowledged, and which should include foreign researchers.

In order to comply with this demand, subparagraph 6.5 of the Statutes of the Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing, refers to the External Scientific Advisory Committee, composed of five PhD Professors, including foreign researchers. This Committee is responsible for analysing the way in which the Unit functions, and so it should visit the Unit annually, as well as deliver a written opinion on the annual plan and activity report and the Unit's budget to be sent to the FCT.
